The Jury
The 2007 Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards is our sixth. This event will once again bring global attention to the cream of the world’s food and drink publishing.
The competition has 24 awards in 6 sections ranging from internet websites through television, magazines, guide books, recipe collections, and other food and drink book categories.
The results of the competition will be announced at a Gala ceremony on October 20, 2007, where Gold Ladles will be presented to the winners. Entries close on Wednesday June 5th, 2007.
Believing that these awards represent the most important international competition in food and drink publishing, our organisation has always been committed to establishing a distinguished international jury whose reputation in the food, drink and publishing industries reflect the high quality of entries that we receive. It also has been our objective to have representatives from as many countries as possible on the juries.
Four judges are appointed to each category and they are assigned to categories where they have proven experience and knowledge. The use of four judges in each category helps ensure impartiality. They judge
independently of each other.
While members of the jury panel are able to enter the awards, they do not judge in the categories they have entered.
The Awards administration supplies all judges with a clear, well defined set of judging criteria. These are reviewed and amended at the conclusion of each awards programme.
Judges do not receive any monetary payment for their role as jury members. All judges generously contribute their time and effort to be part of the jury, and it is greatly appreciated.
It is our intention to ensure that the 2007 Le Cordon Bleu World Food Media Awards evolves with each successive event, giving practitioners of the rapidly expanding international food and drink publishing industry the recognition they deserve. We thank all those who have contributed in the past and look forward to the coming competition.
